Intercompany

The intercompany method is used to synchronize data between companies in the same BC environment.
By choosing the intercompany method, the Intercompany section will be visible on the export definition page.

For this method, 3 configurations are possible for processing:

Export to all other companies with the same import definition.
Export to a single company.
Export to a list of companies, with an import definition for each company.

Export to all other companies with the same import definition.

Enable the checkbox Copy to All Companies.
Leave the Company Name field blank.
Select the import definition that should be used to process the data in all other companies.
The Copy to All Companies selects all companies except the current company.
This requires the import definition to exist in all other companies.

Export to a single company.

Disable the checkbox Copy to All Companies.
Select the target company in the Company Name field.
Select the import definition that should be used to process the data to the target company.
This requires the import definition to exist in the target company.

Export to a list of companies, with an import definition for each company.

Disable the checkbox Copy to All Companies.
Leave the Company Name field blank.
Leave the Import Definition No. field blank.
Go to the Company List, select all companies that should receive the export message and select the Import Definition No. for each company.
