Manage ShipIT 365: Daily Checks and To-Do's
Daily Transport Order checks
Daily checks can be performed to verify that all Transport Orders are being processed and booked correctly and that labels are being printed.
Status checks
As Manager ShipIT a dashboard is provided which gives information on Transport Order statuses:
New
Booked
Uploaded
Label printed
Error
Done
Recalled
On Hold
Invoiced
Check this during the day to ensure that everything arrives at the used carriers on time.
This can also be done on the Transport Order page by applying the appropriate filter there.
Issues and errors on Transport Orders
It could be that Transport Orders can’t be booked and printed and stay in status “New' because of issues or errors on this Transport Order.
Missing data in Business Central, normally mentioned as error on top of screen, and in the Transport Order, standard Business Central, a red asterix at fields, when data is not compleet.
In addition, the error may also originate from the carrier provider, for example, if you are using the incorrect carrier service for the delivery address or if there is a service outage.
Check also our ShipIT 365 Frequently Asked Questions pages.
Transport Order status
From the carrier provider side Transport Order status updates can be synced with Business Central.
Set this Job Queue just once a day, if possible outside working hours.
Clean up Transport Orders
When a Transport Order has status Done it has been delivered and should be moved to Archived Transport Orders.
When people want to match invoices from carriers they can check this in Archived Transport Orders.
See the manual for the process: Archiving Transport Orders
Error logging
The recommendation is that if you enable error logging, you should do so at the “Error” level when you are in Production.
During testing and go-live, logging can be set to a higher level, preferably “Information”.
See Transport Order Logging for more information.
To clean-up this logging, set the Job Queue at once a week or - month, if possible outside working hours.
