ShipIT 365
Your Ideal ShipIT 365 Implementation Team
It happens multiple times that customers don’t know what service to use. Our providers like nShift, Cargoson and EasyPost always mention the services that the customer need to use in the kick off meeting and the descriptions of the services are always mentioned in the configuration document.
But it remains difficult for customers to understand what kind of service a carrier needs to have for a specific location.
In best practice we see that the used services are known to the logistics departments of customers, but that the IT person who carries out the first tests when setting up the systems has no idea of the different transport options unfortunately (but understandable of course).
The providers always try to give the clearest possible instruction of which service should be used by the customer. But ultimately, this responsibility remains with the customer. They must be aware of the services that they have agreed internally with certain carriers.
The above mentioned seems obvious, but as idyn we often get support tickets related to the chosen and set carrier services, something that actually lies between the chosen provider and the end customer.
The ideal implementation team is as follows:
Manager Logistics
Warehouse Manager
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional person (internal/external)
(IT person)
The external Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional person is usually someone who is employed by an idyn partner and has done several ShipIT implementations and takes the idyn training courses on them.
And the idyn ShipIT Product Specialist is always available to help.
Happy shipping!
