nShift Transsmart Insurance (pilot phase)

nShift Transsmart provides a service to insure your shipments. See: nShift Insurance – nShift

This service is embedded in the ShipIT 365 solution. If you want to make use of this service you simply follow the setup steps in this chapter.

Setup

Enable Insurance in the nShift Transsmart provider. 

If required you can setup and enable a minimum value before the insurance is activated.

Note: you need to setup the value per item category 

Go to the agents service mappings and select the carriers where the insurance is applicable. The related agent services are auto selected for insurance.  If needed you can disable per service.

Also activate the insurance is depending to the countries of the ship to (destination)  Set the countries which are applicable for insurance. 

If you also work with the minimum insured value you have to setup the minimum value in the item category.  This value will be used to determine of a Transport order is enable for booking a shipment with additional insurance.

After following the above steps you are capable to assign the assurance automatically when creating and booking the transport order. If needed it’s possible to disable the insurance option on the TO if for whatever reason the insurance is not relevant.
