ShipIT 365
DeliveryMatch & Carrier Selection
Be aware that using Carrier Selection feature will generate a Draft on the DeliveryMatch portal. Don't be afraid, they will be removed after a few days.
Transit Time
Not all carriers give a Delivery Date back when using the ShipIT 365 Carrier Selection feature.
To ensure that a delivery date is generated for those carriers/services when the carrier selection function is run, a setting must be configured on the DeliveryMatch portal.
This needs to be done via:
Settings
Carrier Setup
Setup
Select carrier to set
Configure
Set toggle “Unknown Transit Time” to False/No
Set “Transit Days” the same as in Shipping Agent Service, Shipping Time (Business Central)
Do this for all services on the carrier that does not issue Transit Times or Delivery Dates.
Check with your DeliveryMatch contactperson if your used carriers supply Transit Times or Delivery Dates.
When not, set following this manual.
Response Data
The response when Carrier Selection is used, is based on DeliveryMatch business logic. DeliveryMatch can change options on what data and how many data will be parsed to the Carrier Selection page of ShipIT 365.
Herewith some examples of specific DeliveryMatch setup:
When on a carriers service routes are set with specific Postcodes, this will only be parsed to ShipIT 365 Carrier Selection when the request contains a matching postcode.
When on a carrier service conditions are set, this will ony be parsed to ShipIT 365 Carrier Selection when the request matches the condition.
Buy & Sell price
The Carrier Selection will show 2 prices:
Price = Buy price from DeliveryMatch
Sell Price = Sell price from DeliveryMatch
When both are the same, no sell price is set at DeliveryMatch.
The ShipIT 365 Freight costs feature will calculate with the Price (Buy Price) towards a Service Charge, as the Sell price already has been calculated via DeliveryMatch.
Both prices will be visible on Transport Order after a booking has been made and also in the factbox that is visible in several places.
