Business Central On-Premises
If you are running the On-Premises version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you can install the ConnectIT 365 app using Windows PowerShell and the app runtime package provided by your implementation partner.
Before installing ConnectIT 365 for the first time, please make sure that the correct granules are included in the Business Central license used in the customer environment.
The runtime packages are availabe on the idyn product download portal, where separate downloads are available for the different Business Central major versions:
The zip archives contain a runtime package for each Business Central minor version.
Please use the corresponding runtime package for your Business Central installation.
To install or upgrade the ConnectIT 365 extension, start the Business Central Administration Shell.
This will open PowerShell with the NavAdminTool module loaded.
This will allow you to use the cmdlets for installing and upgrading extensions.
If you are installing ConnectIT 365 for the first time, please follow this guide from Microsoft.
If ConnectIT 365 is already installed, and you want to upgrade the app to a newer version, please follow this guide from Microsoft.
Please note that for version xx.8.0.0 and later ConnectIT 365 has a dependency to the Idyn App Management extension. For each BC major/minor version a runtime package for Idyn App Management is included.
This extension should be installed/updated first before installing/updating ConnectIT 365.
