Please note that enabling this feature will display an additional confirmation dialog, since this feature will change the configuration for existing definitions. Since this results in data modification in the configuration, these changes can’t be automatically rolled back when the feature is disabled.

With this feature enabled, in both export and import definitions, a new field Key Links will be visible in the definition lines. For export definitions the field Key Field No. is removed and the defined fields are moved to the related Key Links, which shows the number of links for this data item (similar to the Functions, Filters and Output Conditions columns.

For import definitions this also shows the new Key Links field, making the user experience for imports similar to that of configuration export definitions. This also means that the Edit (Key) Links menu is replaced by this field, allowing linking each instance of a data item to a parent table.

...

When clicking on the Key Links field for a Data Item line, this will open a new page to view and edit the key links. This page contains a similar structure as the Edit (Key) Links page from the import, where we can define the field (for the current data item) and the parent table/line and parent field no.

Why is this functionality introduced as optional beta feature?

This beta feature changes behaviour for table relations, and needs to change configuration for existing defitions to work. Since these changes break existing functionality this is included as optional feature.

While the change for export is minor, and mostly visual, in the processing of import entries this changes table relations significantly, since this allow the usage of multiple instances of the same table with different key links. Without this beta feature, links are defined 1 time for each table.

With each future release it will be checked if this feature can be included in the standard functionality.
